Initially, when my mother first approached me with the idea of having a cast made of my pregnant stomach, I thought she was starting to 'lose it'. But after giving it much thought, I said to myself, 'Why not?' Making the cast was one of the best things that mother and I have done in a while. I can't remember the last time my mother and I had that much fun! Having my mother present during the process was great. She kept the jokes coming, making it very hard for me to keep still. She enjoyed taking the pictures for the keepsake pouch in the belly sculpture. I even have enough pictures for my baby album. That was an experience we will never forget.
